Jumping to conclusions

One of my favorite types of people on Twitter is the guy who tracks company jets and jumps to conclusions. ‘Oh, Occidental’s jet touched down in Omaha… Warren Buffett is definitely planning a takeover…’

And you might remember the student who tracked Elon’s jet (and beefed with one of the world’s richest guys very publicly).

But it turns out not all of these virgins are busy outing rich people attending COP28 (spoiler: a climate conference) via PJ.

You see, shares of Humana rose on Friday on news that its corporate jet was in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Although I hear Bentonville is beautiful this time of year, it just so happens to be the home of Walmart. Quick history lesson: back in 2018 Walmart and Humana discussed an acquisition.

Perhaps Walmart became interested again following news that Cigna and Humana have been discussing a merger…
